Process
FIRST MEETING
First meeting is all about getting to know each other better. Here we simply learn more about students and their families, while they find out about the possibilities and the process ahead. Old fashioned face-to-face meetings always bring certainty and build trust between families and the organization.
BUILDING CLIENT’S PROFILE
Each student is asked to provide their academic transcripts, highlight video tape (student-athletes) and Duolingo score in order to start promotion among the schools. During this step, we can evaluate each participant’s potential opportunities in the USA and offer predictions of possible outcomes.
COMING INTO WRITTEN AGREEMENT
If clients expectations meet our evaluation, the next step is to enter into a written service agreement. It outlines the process ahead and the responsibilities of each party.
SEARCH FOR AN ACADEMIC INSTITUTION
Based on a student’s profile, we try to bring offers that meet the family’s needs and expectations best. Each school is presented in detail. AthletIQs also provides its own recommendations of which institution to go with; however, we expect families to make the final decision on their own.
APPLICATION AND CONTRACT WITH SCHOOL
AthletIQs fills out all the necessary applications and submits documents on the family’s behalf. The offer from the chosen school comes in the form of written contract, which defines terms of payment and regulations.
FORM I-20 AND APPLICATION TO THE U.S. EMBASSY
The issue of form I-20 proves that a student has legally enrolled into a study program in the United States. It is considered to be the key document in order to receive F-1 student’s visa. Next step – filling out the DS-160 form (application for visa) and an appointment at the local Consular Section of the United States.
TRIP TO THE USA
If a student’s visa request is approved by the U.S. Consulate, the family can start planning the trip to the USA. AthletIQs will refer to the necessary airport of destination and arrange the pick-up for you. Most of the families purchase health insurance prior to the trip.
